Schon als Jugendlicher hab ich die Liebe zur Fotografie entdeckt und mir mit 16 die erste Spiegelreflexkamera zugelegt.

Naturfotografie begeistert mich, weil sie ein stiller und ganz anderer Ausgleich für einen harten Job ist und häufig der Weg zum Ziel schon ein Genuss ist. Auch Details, meist übersehen in der Makrofotografie zu Tage gebracht faszinieren mich. Dinge, von Menschenhand geschaffen sind interessante Objekte wenn sie in ungewöhlichen Ansichten zum Bild werden und schliesslich Menschen selbst. In Portraits oder Situationen suche ich die natürliche Schönheit, unverfälscht, einfach so wie sie sind.

Immer wieder staunend über die Vorbilder wie Fritz Pölking, Markus Mauthe, Dietmar Nill und Andere arbeite ich an meiner Technik und versuche die Qualität meiner Bilder stetig auszubauen. (Ein weiter Weg!) Ich freue mich aber auch über jedes gelungene Bild eines "Kollegen" das gut präsentiert wird, denn davon lerne ich.

Die Vogelfotografie ist eine Leidenschaft, weil mich diese besonderen Tiere mit ihren erstaunlichen Fähigkeiten schon bei der Beobachtung faszinieren. (Manchmal denk ich, daß ich mir da die mühsamsten aller Leidenschaften ausgesucht habe..., jeder, der Vögel fotografiert, weiss was ich meine).

Mein Anspruch: "wildlife" ohne Manipulation in einer Weise zu dokumentieren, die im Betrachter Freude, Staunen oder auch stille Andacht über die Schönheit der Schöpfung auslöst. Wenn es dazu beiträgt, Gott dem Schöpfer die Ehre zu geben und den Respekt für die Natur fördert, bin ich meinem Ziel ein Stück näher.
Ein hohes Ziel, ich weiss. Aber nur wer sich grosse Ziele steckt, erreicht auch was....

With the age of 16 i discovered my love for photography and bought my first DLR camera.

Nature-photography fills me with enthusiasm because it is a calm and quite different balance for a hard job and the way itself to take pictures frequently is already a pleasure itself. Also details, usually overlooked brought to day in the macro-photography fascinates me. Things, made by human-hand can be interesting objects, if they turn into the picture in exceptional views. And even finally people. In portraits or situations, I simply look for the natural beauty, unadulterated, just like it is.

I work again and again (inspired on the models like Fritz Pölking, Markus Mauthe, Dietmar Nill and others) to develop my technology and increasing the quality of my pictures continuously. (A wide way!) However, I am happy also about every successful, well presented picture of a "colleague", because I learn from it.

The bird-photography is a passion because these particular animals with its astonishing abilities fascinate me already at the observation. Sometimes, it thinks me that I chose the most arduous of all passions ..., everyone, who does bird-photographs knows what i mean.

My claim: to document "wildlife" without manipulation in a manner, that causes joy, astonishment or also quiet prayer of the beauty of the creation in the observer. If it contributes to it, giving the honor to God the creator and promotes the respect for the nature, I am nearer one piece for my goal. A high goal, I know. But only whoever puts big goals itself reaches also what....
